Examinations are a critical time for all students.  As parents/carers, you have a key role in ensuring that they are well organised and prepared.  Please be aware of the following key information and policies.  Please keep referring back to this page as it will evolve over time.

PUBLIC EXAMINATIONS 2025-2026

  • November Exams: 4/11/25 – 10/11/25
  • Summer Exams: 4/5/226 – 26/6/26
    • GCSE Timetable
    • A Level Timetable
    • Contingency Day: The exam boards have designated the morning and afternoon sessions of Wednesday 24th June 2026 as contingency sessions.  All candidates sitting exams should be available up to and including this day in case of significant disruption to the exam schedule and the need to reschedule an exam.
  • Results Days: GCE (A Level) exam results are released on Thursday 13th August 2026 and GCSE exam results are released on Thursday 20th August 2026. The school will be open from 9.00 – 10.30 am. Students can collect their exam results from the Hub. If a student would like a family member to collect them on their behalf, then they should email Mrs Whitehead, Exams Officer (jwhitehead@budmouth-aspirations.org). Members of staff will be on hand to provide information, advice and guidance.

MOCK EXAMINATIONS 2025-2026

Mock exams are really important for both students and teachers. They will identify strengths and areas to develop, which will be used to plan future lessons and interventions, to support your child to fulfil their potential in their GCSE and A Level exams.

Our next Mock exams are for Years 11 and 13 and due to take place between 20th October 2025 and 13th November 2025. A copy of the examination timetable for this period can be found here:

Exams can be a challenging part of school life for both children and parents. But there are ways to ease the stress. The NHS have compiled information, advice and guidance to support everyone.

EXAMS HANDBOOK FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS AND CARERS

Our Exams Handbook has been created to provide important and helpful information for you and your parents/carers. Please read it carefully and thoroughly. Show it to your  parents/carers so they are also aware of the examination regulations and procedures to follow in the event of any problems occurring. Please keep this somewhere safe so it can be referred to during the course of the year. The awarding bodies (examination boards) set strict criteria, which must be followed for the conduct of examinations. Budmouth Academy is required to follow these instructions precisely.

If you are unsure about anything, or would like to find out more, please email our Examinations Officer, Mrs Whitehead:
