At Budmouth Academy, we set the highest expectations for all students. We want every young person to take pride in themselves, raise their aspirations and be fully prepared for future success.
Having the correct uniform and equipment each day helps students develop positive habits, prepares them for the world of work and ensures they are ready to learn.
Our uniform policy supports a purposeful and professional learning environment. It promotes pride, safety and belonging, while reducing distractions so that students can focus fully on their learning.
Uniform helps to:
- promote equality and reduce social pressure
- encourage pride in personal appearance and in the academy
- create a strong sense of identity and belonging
- support a calm and focused learning environment
- ensure students are easily identifiable and safe on site
- help students represent the academy positively in the local community
If a student is unable to wear an item of uniform for medical reasons, a formal medical note or certificate will be required.
Further information can be found in our Uniform and Equipment Policy.
